A shop assistant was threatened with a knife during a robbery in Macclesfield.
Cheshire Police are investigating reports of an armed robbery at the Asda Express petrol station on Churchill Way on Sunday, November 23.
It is understood a man entered the shop at 6.10pm, stealing a number of items and threatening the shop assistant with a knife before fleeing with the goods.
Now, police are urging anyone with information that could help locate the suspect to get in touch.
A spokesperson said: "Enquiries are ongoing to locate the suspect.
"Anyone with information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 2220309.
"Alternatively, information can be given anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
An eyewitness, who was in the shop with his two young children at the time, described the suspect as a 'middle-aged white man'.
He says the offender warned the shop assistant 'if you do not let me out I will cut you and start butchering'.
