Christmas cards will help raise vital funds for an important cause.

Adam Schofield, who trades as Adam Francis Illustrator, has launched his 2025 Macclesfield charity Christmas cards.

Since 2020, Adam has illustrated and sold Macclesfield-themed Christmas cards, donating a percentage of the profits to local charities and community groups.

This year, Adam is donating 25% of his Christmas card profits to the Macclesfield Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club.

He said: "I'm delighted to be able to support the AFVBC, which brings together our local veterans to foster connections, offer support, and provide a welcoming and safe space for those who have served our country."

Over the past five years, Adam, who is also the chairman of the board at the Rossendale Trust and co-founder of Made in Macclesfield, has raised over £2,300 for local charities through his Christmas card sales.

This money has helped to support Cheshire Streetwise, Just Drop In and the Mayor of Macclesfield's charity fund.

Adam is hoping this year will be his most successful one yet.

"This will be my sixth year producing Christmas cards and I can't see it stopping," Adam said.

"They've proved to be really popular with my customers, who also appreciate that they're supporting a local charity and a small local business with their purchase."

There are two Christmas cards to choose from this year, a Macclesfield architectural scene and a card featuring a snowy Market Place with the Town Hall.

The cards are sold in packs of five, one design per pack, and cost £5.95.

The cards can be bought on Adam's website and the Visitor Information Centre (now inside Macclesfield Library) is also selling them.

Adam added: "I'd like to take the opportunity to thank everybody who has bought cards from me in the past and I hope that you all love the new designs!"
