Macclesfield's 'best kept door and window secret' are preparing to open their new hub.

Vufold's shiny new showroom will officially swing open its doors later this month.

It marks an exciting time for the family-run firm as they turn their attention to capturing the local market.

Managing director Rick Collins said: "Our aim has always been to supply products we'd want in our own homes, we then add great customer service to look after you before, during and after your purchase."

Vufold as a brand started out in 2006.

In 2010 the e-commerce website was launched and the company has gone from strength to strength since then.

However, despite having been based on Queen's Avenue since 2008, the vast majority of Vufold's work is conducted outside of Macclesfield.

"We'd like to think we're actually Macclesfield's best kept door and window secret because while we have a great reputation nationally through the website we actually do very little work locally," Rick said.

"With this showroom, we felt like there was an opportunity to offer local people really good doors and windows with a company they can trust."

Three generations of the Collins family work at Vufold and many of the company's current staff have been working there for over a decade.

In 2021 they decided to begin work on their new showroom.

Due to complications with electricity and contractors, the originally scheduled October 2022 opening had to be pushed back.

Open now as a 'hub' for both consumers and the trade, the showroom will officially launch on March 15, with the Mayor of Macclesfield due to cut the ribbon.
