Wright & Morten Vets, a long-established veterinary practice dating back to the early 1900s, has announced the launch of new puppy pre-school classes at their purpose-built Macclesfield hospital.

The sessions, which are free to attend and open to both clients and non-clients, will begin on Monday 14 July, running from 5.30pm to 6.30pm, with Wright & Morten Vets issuing welcome packs and certificates for attendees.

The initiative follows the practice's move in November 2024 to a new facility at Lyme Green Retail Park, offering expanded services including separate wards for dogs, cats, and exotic animals, along with advanced equipment such as a CT scanner, and designated rooms for dental and x-ray procedures.

The new premises also features two operating theatres, an intensive care ward, an isolation unit, more consulting rooms, and separate waiting areas for cats and dogs, reflecting a commitment to animal welfare and reducing stress during visits.

Wright & Morten Vets said: "We have exciting news. Our brand new puppy parties [puppy pre-school classes] are free of charge and can be attended by clients and non clients.

"They will be starting on Monday 14 July from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.

"Our parties are being hosted by Carolyn Thorpe from Off Leash Dog Training who will bring valuable training and behaviour advice along side one of our team members who can help get your puppies familiar with a veterinary environment.

"Puppies need to be between eight to 13 weeks old, have had first vaccination but not completed the course or gone outside yet.

"For more information and to book please phone on 01625 501500."

Wright & Morten Vets relocated to a new facility at Lyme Green Retail Park in November 2024 (Wright & Morten Vets).

The sessions aim to ease the transition for puppies into both veterinary care and social environments, offering early behavioural support from both a professional dog trainer and a veterinary team member.

Wright & Morten Vets also operates branches in Congleton and Wilmslow, and offers equine and farm services. Further details can be found HERE.
