Macclesfield's new Middle Eastern mini mall to host first-of-its-kind exhibition
By Matthew Hancock-Bruce 15th Feb 2026
Macclesfield's newest venue is preparing to stage a first-of-its-kind event.
Saffron Mall on Mill Street will play host to AfghanPure's first heritage rugs exhibition, having opened for business earlier this month.
There will be a range of handmade rugs, kilims, and antique masterpieces on display, each woven with generations of Afghan artistry.
"View, touch, and take home a piece of history," said Waheed Farooqi Zargar, owner of AfghanpPure on Queen Victoria Street.
The heritage rugs exhibition takes place on Treacle Market Sunday, February 22, from 9am to 6pm.
It is free to attend, with complimentary saffron tea upon arrival.
