The much-loved Starlight Walk returns to Capesthorne Hall later this month.

With two weeks still to go until the big day, East Cheshire Hospice has confirmed that around 350 people have signed up for their event, with more registrations coming in daily.

The festival of light and love offers participants the chance to celebrate the lives of loved ones while enjoying a beautifully illuminated walk through the historic estate grounds.

Luke Brightmore, marketing and communications manager at East Cheshire Hospice, said: "It's fantastic to see such strong support already, with around 350 people signed up.

"Starlight Walk is a really special evening for our community and every registration helps us continue our vital work.

"We'd love even more people to join us for what promises to be a fun and memorable night."

Starlight Walk is a key fundraiser for East Cheshire Hospice, which must raise £9,362 every day to keep its services running and free for those who need them.

This year's event takes place on Thursday, April 16, and once again promises an unforgettable experience, featuring glowing lanterns, twinkling lights, atmospheric fire pits and meaningful points of reflection along the route.

The event village will be alive with entertainment, food and drink stalls and a warm, welcoming festival atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy live performances, great refreshments and fundraising activities before and after the walk.

Participants are encouraged to dress in bright colours, glitter, glow sticks or festival‑inspired accessories to help light up the night.

Event timings

  • 18:00 – Gates open with food, drink and fundraising stalls
  • 18:15 – Live entertainment begins
  • 19:15 – Walk starts
  • 21:45 – Event ends

Registration is still open, and East Cheshire Hospice is encouraging anyone interested to secure their place soon.
