Since opening its doors in May, CareYourWay Macclesfield has already begun making a remarkable impact, supporting local people to remain safe, independent and surrounded by the familiarity of their own homes.

Led by local director Jennifer Jenkins, the family-run service is part of the award-winning CareYourWay network, recently named a Homecare.co.uk Top 20 Home Care Group for 2026.

For Jenny, providing great care is much more than a professional ambition. It is deeply personal.

A nurse for more than 25 years, Jenny has worked across A&E and general practice and holds a master's degree in advanced clinical practice, with a particular interest in supporting older people living with frailty.

Her decision to establish CareYourWay Macclesfield was also shaped by her own family's experience. Jenny's mother lived with Alzheimer's disease before sadly passing away in 2024, during which time Jenny experienced first-hand the enormous difference the right care can make to an individual and their family.

Her own family experienced CareYourWay's approach to care, giving Jenny an understanding not only as a healthcare professional, but as a daughter seeking care and reassurance for someone she loved.

It inspired her to bring that same philosophy of care to her own community, building a service that understands how challenging seeking support for a loved one can be and the responsibility that comes with being trusted to care for another person's family.

Since its official launch on May 14, the Macclesfield team has already demonstrated what that philosophy looks like in practice.

Care professionals have supported clients through difficult and emotional moments, brought happiness through thoughtful gestures such as baking cakes and remained attentive to changes in the wellbeing of the people they visit.

On one occasion, a member of the team recognised that a client was becoming unwell and acted proactively, helping them receive the hospital care they needed.

These moments show why home care is about far more than completing tasks. It is about knowing someone well enough to notice when something changes, understanding what matters to them and providing support that fits naturally around their life.

The growing number of five-star reviews received by the team so soon after opening is an encouraging reflection of that approach and the relationships already being built with local clients and families.

For Jenny and her team, this is still only the beginning.
