If you love the countryside, and you love beer, then you will love the Wincle Beer Festival.

The tenth-ever Wincle Beer Festival is to take place on July 5 and July 6 2024.

Featuring a vast roster of beer, in the lush green riverside field just metres away from where the beer is made, the event is unique to other Macclesfield beer festivals as you can actually camp over at this one.

Are you pumped for this year's Wincle Beer Festival?

And glamping is a new addition for 2024. But it has been so popular that it has sold out.

However, you can still get tickets to come down on the Friday or Saturday. To avoid queues entry tickets can be bought in advance for £15 (excluding booking fee) via Eventbrite, or at the event itself.

Wincle Brewery Founder Giles Meadows told Macclesfield Nub News what we have to look forward to.

And it isn't just Wincle beer that is served!

"A third of the beer line-up will be Wincle Beer," said Giles.

"We are bringing back Summer Lass, which is a Belgian beer brewed by Wincle Brewery which is back by popular demand," said Giles.

We last brewed it eight years ago. We have been meaning to ever since and have finally got around to it. It is a fantastic beer.

"I have managed to secure some Bathams Best Bitter, as requested by my father and father-in-law.

"Bathams Best Bitter happens to be one of my favourite beers other than Wincle."

There are activities for all the family, with face painters to add to the festival vibe, and the fiercely-fun tug of war.

Macclesfield: What's your favourite Wincle Beer?

The tug of war takes place on the Saturday, and kicks-off at 3pm. You register with a team of eight, and each team must have at least two men and two women.

And there's fun for the ears too. The music line-up will open on Friday with the Tegg's Nose Pickers, followed by The Alice Band, and an INXS Tribute Band. (They will need you tonight, let's hope the beers will never tear them apart.)

The bands on Saturday will be Basement Street Blues and Jazz Band, then Squeezey Pete and his Folk Band. Later on Saturday, solo acoustic musician Lewis Hallam will play.

He'll be followed by The Black Cat Blues Band, Cherry Groove, and headliners Red Letters returning after a sensational performance last year.

Foodwise, local street food vendors are supported. Cheddleton Oatcakes are crossing over the Staffordshire-Cheshire border to offer their sweet and savoury oatcakes, which you may recognise from the Treacle Market.

Elsewhere, Sprinks Farm will be cooking up a barbecue. Crescent Catering will offer pizzas, and Saltsu Katsu will be offering Malaysian food in the glorious Wincle countryside.

All vendors will serve on both Friday and Saturday, plus two will be sticking around to cook breakfast for the campers on the Sunday morning.

To avoid queues entry tickets can be bought in advance for £15 (excluding booking fee) via Eventbrite, or at the event itself.

Children under 18 are free. Included in your entry is your glass, entry to the beer tent and use and enjoyment of all facilities. Beer tokens are purchased separately and can be bought by the token (one token is equivalent to 1/2 pint beer or a soft drink) or in packs of 10.

The award-winning brewery turns 16 this year.

You can still get tickets to the Wincle Beer Festival 2024, and you can do so via THIS LINK.
