Christ Church 250th anniversary

Christ Church celebrates its 250th anniversary this weekend.
From 11am to 3pm on Saturday and Sunday, they will be hosting live music, photographic displays and archives to browse.
There will also be bookstalls and refreshments available to purchase.

Table Top Sale

Chelford Village Hall will host a table top sale from 10am to 2pm.
There will be tables selling a range of items including clothes, gifts, cakes, and plants.
Entry is £1 a person, with funds helping support the work of Connecting Chelford.
This includes organising days outs, monthly meals, the friendship café, the Memory Lane café, equipment and mini bus trips.
Northern Chamber Orchestra: Starburst

The Northern Chamber Orchestra opens its Macclesfield concert season with Starburst by Jessie Montgomery.
It takes place at King's School, starting at 7.30pm.

Treacle Market

This month's Treacle Market promises to be extra special with the return of the annual dog show.
Categories include loveliest lady, golden oldie, best puppy, waggiest tail and 'dog judge would like to take home'.
Of course there is also the small matter of the market itself, with over 140 stalls lining the streets of Macclesfield.
The Treacle Market is on from 10am to 3.30pm, with stalls located on Exchange Street, Mill Street, Castle Street, Chestergate, St Michael's Churchyard, the Butter Market, Market Place and Upper Market Place.

Macc Lit & Phil

Looking ahead to next week, it is the first meeting of Macc Lit & Phil's new season.
Honorary historical consultant to Macclesfield Town Council, Dorothy Bentley Smith will be talking about Charles Roe's life and his influence on Macclesfield and elsewhere.
The talk will take place at Macclesfield Library, starting at 7.30pm.
