Rumours of a fire station closing have been shut down.

Bollington Town Council has moved to quash rumours that the fire station on Albert Road is to cease operations.

At this time, no changes are being made to crews or services.

A spokesperson for the council said: "We wish to address recent rumours about the Bollington fire station closing.

"We confirm that these rumours are false.

"The fire station will remain open, and our crews and services will continue as normal.

"If there are any proposed changes in future, we will communicate them clearly via official channels."
