Friday (29/08)

Ghost walk

Flecky Bennett is bringing his popular ghost walks to Macclesfield.

Described as 'Horrible Histories for adults', the tour will cover witches, haunted pubs, the old gallows and more.

This Friday's tour is sold out but more dates in the not-too-distant future have been announced.

Saturday (30/08)

Pack Fest

Pack Fest returns, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Packhorse Bowling & Social Club.

This free-to-attend event will feature live entertainment all day on the Apex stage from Panfire Steel BandAndy Hofton, a children's disco and headline act Living on io.

There will also be a range of vendors supplying hot food, snacks, children's games, an outdoor bar and more.

Brick stitch workshop

During this workshop experienced wedding accessory designer Heidi Reid will teach you the basic of the Brick Stitch beading technique.

You will be taught how to use basic brick stitch to create beaded diamonds which you will link to create a pair of striking monochrome earrings.

By the end of your workshop you will have progressed to making a pair of super stylish earrings to take home with you.

All materials, tuition and light refreshments are included.

Race for Space

Head over to Macclesfield Leisure Centre to take part in this fun-filled, family-friendly day of sporty challenges and laughter — all in support of Space4Autism!

Activities include obstacle course, family relay, fancy dress race, games and more.

It's a minimum of £10 per family to take part, with every penny helping S4A to continue to deliver their essential services.

Treacle Market

What better way to cap off the summer holidays than the Treacle Market.

As ever, the streets will be lined with over 140 stalls selling evertyhing from fresh produce and curated antiques to sweet treats and handcrafted art and clothing.

The market runs from 10am to 3.30pm, with stalls found on Exchange Street, Mill Street, Castle Street, Market Place, The Butter Market, St Michael's Churchyard, Upper Market Place and Chestergate.
