You'll learn to use the pinch pot technique to make pottery with the fun addition of boobs, bums, and all things body positivity!

Vision Day

East Cheshire Eye Society are hosting a free exhibition on sight loss advice, support and specialist assistive equipment, together with information from local organisations and charities.

"We aim to help people affected by sight loss to lead fulfilling lives at work, at home and in the community," said a spokesperson.

Vision Day takes place at Macclesfield Town Hall from 10am to 3pm.

Music@Mike's

The next lunchtime concert at St Michael's Church will be a recital by the talented local pianist John Sabar from the Royal Northern College of Music.

Entry is free but donations to the East Cheshire Hospice and St Michael's are welcomed.

Return to St Michael's on Saturday evening for Macclesfield Singers Summer Concert featuring a selection of spirituals including extracts from Rutter's 'Feel the Spirit'.

Mezzo soprano soloist will be Louise Wood and the conductor, Mark McCombs

Carers Crafty Celebration

St Barnabus on Lyme Avenue is hosting a celebration ahead of Carers Week.

There will be a range of free craft activities and refreshments available for carers.

No booking is required.

Macc Repair Café

Macc Repair Café are hosting a pop-up as part of Bollington Green Week.

They will have a small team at the Civic Hall ready to help give new life to your things.

You can bring textiles & clothing, household electricals, mechanical items, toys, bicycles.

Party Animals

The Ivy Leaf pub is hosting another Party Animals event in support of One Project Macclesfield.

There will be a bouncy castle, a BBQ, unlimited slushies and exotic animals, including Sully the baby owl.

This month's speaker is Dr Donna Lloyd, senior lecturer in cognitive neuroscience at the University of Manchester.

In this talk, Donna will show how we can harness the brain's own power to reduce the experience of pain in chronic conditions such as phantom limb pain and low back pain, and how technology is being used to provide alternative therapies for the management of long-term pain.
