Care village shows love has no age as residents celebrate Valentine's Day

A care village has shown that love has no age.
Residents and tenants at Belong Macclesfield came together to celebrate Valentine's Day last week.
The dementia specialist care village on Kennedy Avenue put on a two-course meal at the on-site bistro, comprised of a beef bourguignon followed by strawberry meringue tart.
Live entertainment came from Tony Lye on keyboard and vocals, performing popular hits from the '20s to the '60s, with favourites including Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Dean Martin, and Very Lynn.
Anna Seaton, experience coordinator at Belong Macclesfield, said: "We spent the day enjoying each other's company before the fabulous entertainment from Tony and we are grateful for his visit and making it such a wonderful time for everyone, especially for our couples living at the village.
"Love doesn't make the world go round; love is what makes the ride worthwhile.
"Happy Valentine's Day to our favourite people and dearest friends."
