Macclesfield College celebrates student success at annual awards evening

Macclesfield College have been celebrating achievement, dedication and success.
Students, families, friends and staff came together on Thursday, June 25, for the college's annual Student Awards Evening.
Held at the Tytherington Club, the event celebrated not only academic success, but also the determination, resilience and personal growth demonstrated by students throughout their educational journey.
Sue Martin, deputy principal at Macclesfield College, said: "Our Student Awards Evening is a wonderful opportunity to recognise the hard work, commitment and achievements of our students.
"Every award represents a story of dedication, perseverance and success, and we are incredibly proud of everything our students have accomplished this year.
"Congratulations to all of our award winners, and we wish every one of our students the very best as they take their next steps."
The deputy principal opened the evening by paying tribute to the staff across the college whose dedication, guidance and support have helped students achieve their goals throughout the year.
Hosted by centre principal Charlotte Bennett, the evening recognised the commitment, progress and achievements made by students throughout the academic year.
Awards were presented across a wide range of curriculum areas, alongside special awards recognising Adult Student of the Year, Student Ambassador of the Year and the Overall Student of the Year.
Overall Student of the Year was awarded to Jayden Winters, who also received the Electrical Student of the Year award.
