One of the UK's most picturesque beer festivals is back.

Wincle Beer Festival returns this weekend, with more than 35 ales, ciders and larger to explore.

It's not all about the beer though, with live music, a tug of war, face painting and artisan food stalls to look forward to as well as selection of gins and wines.

Giles Meadows, owner of Wincle Beer, said: "Regulars know just how much we love our beer festival!

"It's the highlight of our year, and we put our heart and soul into making it unforgettable.

"The 2026 festival is back with a bang - featuring exciting new beers, live bands, delicious food stalls, camping and glamping for a full weekend experience!"

How do the tokens work?

The opening day of the main festival gets underway at 5pm on Friday, July 3.

When you arrive, you will need to collect your glass, wristband and any tokens purchased from the registration desk.

Tokens can be purchased throughout the event at a designated kiosk by the brewery, or the gin bar after 8pm.

Priced at £1.50, tokens are redeemable in the following ways.

  • 1 = 1/3 a pint of beer / any soft drink (£1.50)
  • 2 = 2/3rds of a pint of beer (£3.00)
  • 3 = 1 pint of beer (£4.50)
  • 4 = 175m glass of wine / Gin and tonic (£6.00)
  • 5 = 200ml mini bottle Prosecco
  • 12 = 4 pint jug of beer (£18.00)
  • 13 = bottle of wine or Prosecco (£19.50)

Tokens can be used in the main beer marquee, the gin & prosecco bar and, on Sunday, in the Wincle Beer shop.

They can also be used against merchandise purchased in the shop before the end of July.

Camping

There are just a handful of camping pitches left, so act quick!

The camping fields will open at 5pm on Thursday, July 2, with the brewery's Tap Room open until 10pm.

On-site you will find fresh drinking water and toilets available in each camping field, with showers available for £2 per person.

BBQs and firepits are allowed, provided they are used responsibly, always supervised, off the ground and safely disposed of.

Shuttle

This year, organisers have confirmed they will be offering a shuttle bus running from Waters Green in Macclesfield town centre to Wincle Beer Festival.

Running at 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm, this service is free when booked with a return journey.

The return journeys to Waters Green will run at 10pm, 11pm and 12am and are priced at £7.50.

For those making their own way, the postcode is SK11 0QE - this will take you to the Ship Inn pub, just carry on down the hill to reach the festival.

As a rural location, public transport options directly into Wincle are limited. The nearest train stations are in Macclesfield, Congleton, and Buxton, each with nearby bus stations - including Leek. From these towns, taxis are available to Wincle.
