A car has been left on its roof following a crash.

Emergency services are currently at the scene of a crash on the Silk Road in Macclesfield.

Two fire engines, from the Macclesfield and Poynton stations, are among those in attendance.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Fire crews are in attendance at a three-vehicle road traffic collision.

"One vehicle has overturned on its roof.

"Three casualties are out of their vehicles and are being assessed by paramedics at the scene.

"No one was trapped in any of the vehicles.

"Firefighters remain at the scene to assess the safety of the vehicles involved and the surrounding area."

It is understood a male passenger from one of the vehicles was taken to hospital to be assessed.
