Macclesfield College has retained its crown as the region's best choice for further education.

The college on Park Lane has once again been named as the top performing college in Cheshire and Warrington for 16–19 Education and Training,

That is according to the latest Department for Education National Achievement Rate Tables, based on achievement data for the 2024/25 academic year.

The data confirms that Macclesfield College remains number one in the region for a second consecutive year, reflecting consistently strong outcomes for students and a continued focus on high-quality education.

CEO and principal Rachel Kay said: "We are incredibly proud to remain number one for 16–19 education and training in Cheshire and Warrington.

"To hold this position for a second year running is a fantastic achievement and something everyone at the college should feel proud of.

"It reflects the dedication of our staff, the hard work of our students and the strength of our employer partnerships.
