Student of the year crowned at college's annual awards evening
Macclesfield's student of the year has been crowned.
Macclesfield College recently held its annual Students Awards Evening at the Tytherington Club.
Staff, students and their families came together to reflect on the past year and celebrate the achievements of pupils.
Charlotte Bennett, centre principal, said: "It was a real pleasure to celebrate the hard work and achievements of our students.
"The awards evening is always a great event – it's a chance to pause and recognise the journeys our students have been on and the determination and passion they bring to everything they do."
Awards were presented across a wide range of subject areas, recognising not only academic success but also personal growth, resilience and contributions to college life.
The prestigious title of Overall Student of the Year was awarded to hairdressing student, Amelia Maguire.
She was praised for her dedication, positive attitude and consistently high standards throughout her time at college.
Ms Bennett added: "Amelia, along with all our award winners, should be incredibly proud of what they've accomplished."
