Staff and students at Fallbiroome Academy are celebrating a 'spectacular' set of GCSE results.

A total of 28 students achieved a grade 7/8/9 in nine or more subjects, including Grace Bentham and Rose Kettle who secured grade 8 or 9 in every subject they studied.

The outcomes recognise how hard students have worked, particularly in the months leading up to the exams.

Headteacher Ross Martland said: "We were absolutely delighted to celebrate our GCSE results with our Year 11 students today.

"We know how hard this group worked to achieve these outcomes, so we are thrilled to see their efforts bear fruit in such a spectacular manner."

Mr Martland continued: "The list of individual achievements listed below give a sense of the very high standards that many of our students have reached this year.

"At the same time, our Y11 students have contributed enormously to the life of the school over the last five years, even more so given the COVID disrupted their first years with us.

"Many have represented the school with distinction in our sports teams, performing arts productions and other extracurricular pursuits.

"They have also acted as role models for our younger students and have set a high standard for future generations to emulate in the years to come.

"We thank all our Year 11 students for their positive contribution to Fallibroome during their time here.

"We wish them every success in the next stage in their education and look forward to welcoming many of them back into our Sixth Form in the next few weeks. "
