Suspect arrested after police find stolen Land Rover dumped on country lane

A suspected car thief has been arrested.
Cheshire Police's Rural Crime Team have arrested a man on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
It comes weeks after officers recovered a green Land Rover Discovery that had been abandoned on the side of a country lane after being stolen from a farm near Rainow.
During this incident, damage was also caused to a Kubota 4x4 and a farm gate.
PC Rob Stordy said: "Thanks to information supplied by members of our local farming community, we quickly located the stolen vehicle, although sadly it has sustained significant damage.
"Since then, our enquiries into the incident have continued at pace, with lines of enquiry across three counties being explored."

PC Stordy continued: "Today (June 28) following an early morning briefing, we successfully arrested an adult male under suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
"He was also further arrested under suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and drugs.
"The suspect was then interviewed by PC John Teasdale and myself.
"He has now been released on bail with a curfew and conditions not to enter Cheshire.
"We will now be assembling a file and looking to secure authorisation to charge from the Crown Prosecution Service."
