A teenager has been charged in connection with a series of scooter and motorcycle thefts across Macclesfield.

Leo Ward was arrested at 6.30am on Sunday, October 5, by officers from Macclesfield South Beat Management.

The 19-year-old, of Coronation Street in Macclesfield, has since been charged with four counts of theft of a motor vehicle.

Ward has since been bailed and is due to appear at Chester Magistrates Court on Wednesday, November 19.
