GCSE success at Macclesfield Academy down to 'powerful partnership' between staff, students and parents

The Macclesfield Academy has enjoyed a year of 'exceptional' academic success.
Among the many high achievers, six students have collectively secured an impressive 56 Grade 7 to 9s (previously A*/A grades) between them.
Meanwhile, 15% of all grades are between Grade 7 and 9, which headteacher Mat Galvin feels exemplifies the school's commitment to academic excellence.
He said: "We are incredibly proud of all of our students' achievements.
"These results are a testament to the powerful partnership between school, students and parents.
"It's this collaboration, with students feeling known and valued and challenged to fulfil their potential.
"This powerful combination is what enables our young people to thrive and reach their aspirational Post 16 destinations."

Chair of governors Andrew Stallard said: "This is another fantastic year of results for The Macclesfield Academy. It's clear that the hard work, dedication and teamwork from everyone involved—staff, students and families—is paying dividends. We couldn't be more pleased."
CEO of the Sir John Brunner Foundation, Matt Snelson added: "The Macclesfield Academy continues to build on its strong academic foundations, fostering a culture of aspiration, resilience and excellence.
"Congratulations to all colleagues students and their families for their remarkable efforts and achievements."
