It might sound daft to buy a pub in the midst of a cost of living crisis, but their property sellers certainly are trying.
Here's four pubs in Macclesfield you can buy or rent right now.
The Ship Inn
This 16th century pub on Wincle's Barlow Hill is the only pub on this list within walking distance of a Brewery.
The Ship Inn is the only pub on for rent on this list, being property of Middleton brewers JW Lees.
The community pub boasts a beautiful beer garden, modern food menu and adequate parking.
The pub costs £23,000 to rent per year and comes with living quarters. The brewers estimate you could earn a potential turnover of £419,286.
The Church House
The Church House pub in Sutton is popular with walkers, real ale lovers and fans of gastropubs. The pub is up for sale as the landlady is retiring, which may explain the cheap price.
Offers over £125,000 will be considered. It comes with a large carpark, CAMRA-approved beer garden, and a three-bedroom property upstairs for the new owners.
