There's going to be a catwalk parade on Park Lane, as a fashion show will be taking place at the Silk Museum.

Town collective Totally Locally Macclesfield will put on a fashion show at the Silk Museum on Saturday 18 May.

Tickets have now gone on sale, with profits set to benefit a Macclesfield charity.

Tickets cost a tenner, and can be bought on this link.

And it won't just be local clothes sellers that the event will celebrate. The unique fashion event will also feature local market traders, gift makers, and Macc-made things to eat or drink.

Jenni Rolph, who runs Rolph and Co Photography in Macclesfield's Castle Quarter, is one of the organisers for the event.

"We are organising a fashion show to showcase what Macclesfield has to offer, mainly with regards to town centre shopping for clothes and shoes," she said.

"The event will also show the public that Macclesfield is full of amazing small businesses and just to promote Macclesfield in general.

"If anyone local wants to include their clothing and/or model in the show, please email [email protected].

"It is all voluntary and all profits are going to East Cheshire Hospice."

As well as the Back Wallgate photographers, Yvonne Lennard from Church Street's Artmageddon Tattoo Studio has also been a driving force in bringing the trendy event to fruition.

While OFFSETT and River Island have shut in recent times, Macclesfield still boasts a broad range of clothes shops, from chained stores like Peacocks and FatFace, to independents like Jola Designs, The Wardrobe, Mujer and Sophia Palucci Boutique.

Once again, tickets for the Saturday May 18 event can be purchased on this link.

The event kicks off at 6pm.
