Squatters Are Currently Parked at One of Macclesfield's Biggest Employers

An unauthorised encampment has taken place on the campus of AstraZeneca Macclesfield, according to local authorities.

On June 16, seven privately owned caravans descended and parked at the Charter Way pharmaceutical premises.

Two days later, they are currently still there. And a local government officer is to contact the landowner to offer advice and support.

It is unknown if the dwellers are protesting against AstraZeneca, for their handling of vaccination during the pandemic.

Last month we reported on a protest lasting three hours on the site which employs hundreds in Macclesfield.

Macclesfield Nub News cannot legally take photos on the private property, however, will closely monitor the story.

AstraZeneca did not respond to comment.
