A full concert recording of Macclesfield's best-known opera vocalist has appeared online.

Forbes Robinson, who grew up in Macclesfield and lived from 1926 to 1987, was best known as a bass vocalist who would perform the likes of Mozart, Verdi and Britten.

And earlier this year a two-hour performance of the late Maxonian surfaced on YouTube.

The recording is from December 1965 at Gaiety Theatre in Dublin, where Forbes played Giovanni in Mozart's Don Giovanni.
