A pair of pubs in Macclesfield are pouring a free pint to punters for the Euros.

Greene King, who always have an initiative like this when a major international football tournament comes around, are giving YOU a free drink to mark the start of the Euros.

The pub operator said: "Kick off this year's summer of sport with a free drink next week before Scotland face off against Germany in the first match of the Euros."

"Whether a die-hard supporter or a non-football fan, customers can claim their free pint before the game on Friday 14th June; when the Tartan Army come up against tournament hosts and three-time winners Germany.

"To claim your free drink, simply head into your local Greene King pub and say the secret code phrase, 'For Pub and Country', at the bar.

"The offer is available between 6pm and 7pm at 800 of our pubs in England, Scotland, and Wales before kick-off at 8pm. Customers can choose from a variety of drink options, including pints of Greene King Level Head and Flint Eye, as well as ciders, spirits, and soft drinks."

They are holding the promotion at Macclesfield pubs The Rising Sun on Congleton Road, and The Brocklehurst Arms in Tytherington.
