Police have confirmed no one was injured after a car was left on its roof on the Silk Road in Macclesfield yesterday afternoon.

A police spokesperson said there were two people in the black Volkswagen Golf, both of whom were able to get out of the vehicle.

In a Facebook post, police said the incident was the result of "wreckless driving".

No arrests have been made in relation to the one vehicle collision.

Macclesfield Nub News reported yesterday that police had partially closed a lane of the Silk Road to deal with the situation around 5pm.

The incident happened on the southbound lane of the Silk Road, just before the roundabout leading to Tesco Superstore.
