It is almost time for the weekend! Which means Macclesfield Nub News is going to see what we have to do in town for the forthcoming few days.
And while we normally only preview a few events, it is a very busy time of year, with businesses wanted to get the word out about their events this festive period.
So for one week only, here is a round up of not five, not six, but THIRTEEN Macclesfield events to look forward to this weekend.

Black Friday Sale
How about a Black Friday sale on a Saturday?
Pet Food Supplies, on Moss Lane, is hosting a big sale on two major stock ranges.
The pet food and toys shop are slashing prices on their fishing and equestrian range.
There will also be an appearance from fishing influencer Julian Cunliffe.

Friday Theatrics
Speaking Up Speaking Out is a Roe Street charity which helps improve the lives of adults of all ages with learning disabilities.
They will host an evening of live performance to raise money for them this Friday from 7:30pm.

Windyway Trust Christmas Fair
A Macclesfield animal charity are holding a fundraising festive fair this Saturday.
And it is at the same venue as the previous event in this article.
11am to 1pm. Duke St Community Centre with paid parking on-site.
Entrance to the venue is £1. Lots of stalls, including refreshments.
Film Screening
On Saturday, 25 November 2023 (6pm) The Big Room CIC on Pickford Street will be screening a documentary.
Koyaanisqatsi will be shown, exploring the rich and complex theme of belong.
Koyaanisqatsi is 'a wordless survey on the significant changes occurring over the natural environment accompanied by a haunting score from Philip Glass.
After the screening (optional): for those who wish to stay there will be a short break and then we will spend up to 60 minutes exploring and sorting through the major themes that have arisen from the screening.

BOON ARMY!
There's just a few tickets left for the legendary Clint Boon's event in Macclesfield.
The Inspiral Carpets musician and radio DJ will be doing a DJ set at Cinemac Live on Roe Street.

Live Music
If it is live instruments you prefer, then head to Sutton Scout Hall on Saturday.
Enjoy music and mince pies from the band Altar Egos 7.30pm 25th November. (Pun intended)
It will raise money for the St. James' Wellbeing Cafe.

Wrestling Night comes to Upton Priory
An evening of American wrestling is coming to Macclesfield on Saturday.
It will take place at Macclesfield Leisure Centre on Priory Lane.
This is a ticketed event, from 7pm to 9pm.
Tickets are £11 for all ages, excluding booking fee.

Another Festive Market
Space4Autism will be holding a Christmas market this Saturday for five hours.
The five hour event is free to attend, but raises money for the 18-year-old Mill Lane charity.
Space4Autism is located at 15-17 Mill Ln, Macclesfield SK11 7NN.
Hangout at The Hanging Gate
A charming pub with unrivalled views, has plenty of events to drive-to this weekend.
The Hanging Gate in Higher Sutton are hosting a Christmas Tree sale on Sunday November 26.
Local garden company, @anythingforthegarden will be here selling no drop Norwegian Spruce trees.
And on Friday, they will also he hosting a Greek food pop-up. More info HERE.
Treacle Market
And of course, it is the Treacle Market this weekend.
This Sunday, the Treacle Market will be in the festive spirit as the Christmas tree has gone up in the town square.
Join over 100+ traders from 10am - 3.30pm, plus our fantastic high street who open specially for you on a Treacle Sunday.
Church Performance
Also on Sunday, come and enjoy the Caravanettes singing some of their favourite songs in the beautiful setting of St Michael's. Part of Treacle Sunday. Sunday 26th November, 12.30 p.m. - 1 p.m. No charge.
The concert includes a variety of songs including Both Sides Now, True Colours, It Don't Mean a Thing and Moon River, and possibly something a little bit Christmassy to finish.
Caravanettes are a female led choir who meet on Tuesday evenings at Macclesfield Library.

Creative Tassel Head Workshop
The Silk Museum are getting crafty this weekend.
You will learn three types of tassel making.

Open Studio
Twentysevenb studio on Pickford Street are hosting an open studio on Sunday 26 November between 11am and 4pm.
You can buy art works, meet the artists, and drink special mulled wine. Soak in some culture and enjoy local artists.

Macclesfield Resident and Musician's Live Gig
G&T in Macclesfield's Castle Quarter will welcome a Macclesfield musician this weekend.
Charlotte Day will be performing live music from 10pm Friday November 24, and free entry all night.
Open 7pm-2am. Cocktails 2-4-£15 all night on any combination.
