So let's see what we have to look forward to this weekend...
ALL WEEKEND LONG
The first-ever 1261 Festival is on this weekend, with something for everyone.
The free family event taking place every day this weekend, is put on by Macclesfield Town Council.
The 1261 Festival will have music, art, workshops, craft, food and drink, talks, walks, performances and a parade.
It also includes one-off events on each of the three days, like the street party on Chestergate's west side for the Saturday.
Fingers crossed the weather comes through too.

Pub Walk
Support local businesses and a Macclesfield charity for this Saturday's Sutton 8 walk.
The walk to and from eight Macclesfield pubs, amidst glorious countryside, raises money for East Cheshire Hospice.
Tickets are available from the pubs on the tour.
They are £5 each to join the walk or £10 each for the walk and brekkie - and all profits go to East Cheshire Hospice.
The venues are: St Dunstan's Inn, Leather's Smithy Pub, Hanging Gate Inn, The Ryles Arms, Sutton Hall, Sutton Ex-Servicemen's Club and Ye Olde Kings Head - Gurnett.
Dogs are welcome but dog policies vary from pub to pub - please check before taking your dog inside any of the pubs.
This is a ticket only event and your ticket will need to be show to claim your breakfast butty.
Please note anyone parking their car in our Car Park for the day will require a pass from behind the bar which identifies your car as being part of this great event! Please put this in your windscreen.
10:30am start at The Church House Sutton, which recently welcomed new publicans.

In Music
Prestbury Choral Society will perform their summer concert this weekend.
Prestbury Choral Society's Summer concert of English music promises to be a very pleasant and enjoyable evening with its eclectic mix of music. This includes John Rutter's The Sprig of Thyme, a collection of traditional British folk songs, from lively, spirited pieces like 'The Bold Grenadier', to more contemplative songs like 'I know where I'm going'. They certainly reveal Rutter's skill in revitalising traditional songs and bringing them to contemporary audiences with his unique arrangements.
The other work, Songs of the Fleet by Charles Villiers Stanford, based on poems by Henry Newbolt, showcases Stanford's skill in setting text to music effectively, with rich harmonies and expressive melodies, capturing different moods and themes related to the sea to create powerful and evocative pieces. This work stands as a poignant tribute to Britain's naval heritage.
Saturday evening. Tickets: £12.00 including glass of wine/soft drink. Book by telephone on 07710 722065, via the website www.prestburychoral.uk or pay at the door.

And Yet More Music to Close the Weekend
