Treacle Market

Of course the big one is this Sunday's Treacle Market.

10am-3:30pm across the town centre, weather looks good too.

Don't forget the new stalls on in the yard at The Picturedrome!

Live Music

There's free guitar music at a Macclesfield country pub this Friday.

The Church House in Sutton will welcome local musician Carl Morris.

He will be playing two sets of Mod, Britpop & Indie. 6pm start.

Also in Music

Northern Soul & Motown Night at Packhorse Bowling Club.

And also on Friday, live act Johnny Boy brings you the best in Northern Soul and Motown.

His evening of classic music will take place at the Packhorse Bowling Club, Abbey Road, Macclesfield, SK10 3AT.

Johnny's show consists of songs from his influences of classic soul songs, songs from Motown, Ric Tic Labels and many songs from the Northern and Rare Soul Scene.

He'll be singing all your favourites from the genres.

Get your tickets behind the bar this week or VIA THIS LINK. Arrive for 7:30pm.

On Saturday

He has also been hosting a soccer school with the local football club.

Gordon HIll is a former professional footballer who played for Manchester United from 1975-1978, playing 101 times and was capped six times by England.

The 70-year-old, who also played for local side Derby County, will be having a fundraising evening for grassroots football club Bollington United FC.

The local club is currently trying to spruce up their new 11-a-side pitch, which you can read about in THIS NUB NEWS ARTICLE.

The event to raise funds will take place at Macclesfield Rugby Club, this Saturday evening, with tickets costing £20.

Four Day Fundraiser

The White Lion in Macclesfield is hosting a four day fundraiser for Macclesfield's East Cheshire Hospice.

A Macclesfield pub is hosting a four day fundraiser for a local charity.

The White Lion, of Mill Street will be providing entertainment and fun in support of East Cheshire Hospice.

The Millbank Drive good cause provides top class end of life care.

From Caribbean food to kids entertainment, there's lots to do at The White Lion this weekend.

The festivities start from 7pm on Thursday and run through to Sunday evening.
