What the King said about Macclesfield when he met MP Tim Roca

The King had some positive words to say about Macclesfield when he met the town's MP.
Tim Roca was invited to Buckingham Palace earlier this week to meet Their Majesties, King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
The monarch spoke of Macclesfield's beauty and his family's charity work in the area, Mr Roca has revealed.
"It was a huge honour to be invited to Buckingham Palace this week to meet Their Majesties, The King and Queen, and other members of the Royal Family on behalf of the people of Macclesfield," Mr Roca said.
"His Majesty, The King, commented on what a beautiful part of the world Macclesfield is.
"I wished him well on behalf of Macclesfield's communities, and we discussed how nature and the environment are very important matters to him.
"We also talked about the vital charity work His Majesty's family has supported in and around Macclesfield, Cheshire and the country over many years."

The King and Queen welcomed hundreds of newly elected Members of Parliament and ennobled Peers from across the House of Lords to Buckingham Palace on Wednesday, January 29.
They were joined in the Ballroom by the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.
The Primer Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, and Leader of the Opposition, Kemi Badenoch, also attended.
