What to expect when Treacle Market makes long-awaited return this Sunday

After three long months, the Treacle Market is set to make a welcome return.
Adverse weather unfortunately meant the popular monthly event couldn't go ahead in both November and December.
But with a (relatively) clear forecast ahead, there shouldn't be anything getting in the way of the market's comeback this Sunday, January 16.
All your favourite stalls will be returning, with more than 140 traders spread across the town.
There will also be some new faces, including Tib & Co Mobile Bar, who will be serving up cocktails in Market Place.
"Exciting announcement, folks! Macclesfield, we'll see you Sunday," said a spokesperson for the Manchester-based business.
"January 26, we'll be making the trip down to Macc for the legendary Treacle Market with many delicious beverages in tow."
Live music is also back, with two fantastic acts sure to keep spirits high, even if the temperatures are a little lower than we'd all like.
Treacle house band, Annie's Saints and Sinners, will get the party started at 11am.
Then at 1pm, Manchester-based singer Aminah will take to the stage.
Looking ahead to the rest of the year, 2025 promises to be a big year for Treacle Market.
In July Treacle turns 15, with plans to celebrate the occasion in style with decorations and plenty of entertainment.
September will see the return of the always-popular, sometimes chaotic, dog show.
Closing out the year will of course be the Christmas markets, although it's probably a little too early to be thinking about that!
Remember, Treacle Market starts at 10am on the last Sunday of every month, with the fun coming to a close at 3.30pm.
