Here are some awesome events happening in Macclesfield for this weekend commencing on November 5.

  1. Classical Music

This weekend's Northern Chamber Orchestra concert, which features guest oboist Juliana Koch, will takes place on Saturday 6 November in Macclesfield.

The Heritage Centre performance will include Mozart's Oboe Concerto and Haydn's Symphony No. 43, the Mercury.

Tickets start from £18, but under 18s go free. It starts at 7:30pm.

  1. Saturday Night Fireworks

You may know it for their golf, but the Tytherington Club is hosting fireworks this weekend.

The Bonfire Night event on Friday 5 will last from 5-9:30pm.

Elsewhere in town, Instead of the fifth of November, another sporting institution in Macc will be hosting their fireworks display on the sixth.

Macclesfield Cricket Club on Union Road claims to be hosting 'Macclesfield's greatest firework display'.

It'll take place from 6-8:30pm.

  1. Eternals

For release day of Marvel's latest film, Cinemac on Roe Street will be screening Eternals twice.

From Oscar-winning director Chloe Zhao, and staring British-Asian actor Gemma Chan. Eternals follows a secret race of immortal beings who have lived on earth for thousands of years, which is revealed after they outlast an apocalyptic event which wipes half the population off've the Earth.

You can take the kids to the 12A film just after school at 16:30 on Friday.

There will also be a showing at 20:00 on Friday, and three further chances to see it on Sunday.

  1. Guitar Music

We are lucky in Macclesfield to have a live music venue, and one which hosts such a diverse range of genres.

On Friday, local three-piece Steed, Walsh and Mason will take to the stage.

The band play seriously funked up prog rock with Frank Zappa overtones.

You can expect brilliance on 5 Back Wallgate from 10.30pm.

Tickets are £3 OTD. No reservations are required.
