Now without further ado, here's our picks of the things to do in Macclesfield this weekend.

Le Funk

Macclesfield Thai restaurant Chilli Banana will be hosting live music this Saturday night.

You may recognise performers Le Funk from weddings and parties across Cheshire.

Village Fete

The event is located on Langley Playing Fields. Main Road Langley, Cheshire SK11 0BU.

One event which was recently Dubbed to our What's On section, the Langley Village Fete will take place this weekend.

The Sunday July 3 event will kick-off at 12:30pm. There's children's rides, games, races, face painting, tombola, and the famous duck races down the River Bollin.

The Dog Show will be returning with categories such as Waggiest Tail, Best Rescue, Best Veteran and Dog Most Like Their Owner!

There's live music from 4pm, plus food and real ales to enjoy. There will also be a fell race up Tegg's Nose and back.

Charity Football Match

On the same day as the senior squad travels to Longridge Town for a friendly, Macclesfield FC will host a charity football match.

It aims to raise thousands for Myeloma UK, a charity for an incurable blood cancer.

Macclesfield FC Owner Rob Smethurst is among the famous faces who will play in the fundraising game.

Macclesfield Comic Art Festival

Putting Macclesfield on the cultural map is Macc-Pow. A two-day festival of comic books and comic book art.

This year's event will be held at over five different Macclesfield venues.

Most of the events are free, but some have a small fee.
