What's on in Macclesfield this weekend?
2023 is here! And it is the first full weekend of the year.
Each midweek, Macclesfield Nub News rounds-up some of the biggest and best events happening in Macclesfield for the forthcoming weekend.
Today, we preview puppies to the performing arts.

Yoga and Music
Are you all in on wellness this January? Want to stave off the up-and-coming Blue Monday?
Why not attend this self-care evening and live music event like no other.
Pure Yoga Cheshire are having a two-hour night of live sacred music, singing, dancing and connection.
"The Bhakti Brothers warmly invite you to a magical evening of mantra," said Pure Yoga Cheshire.
"Three brothers, multiple instruments. Songs from five continents and a room full of open hearted people.
"Join us for a night of connection and peace. We'll be singing sacred music from around the world together. Singing in a group is such a precious practice.

Kids Performing Arts
Something free and something new for your kids to try in 2023 is this Macclesfield event.
Stagecoach Performing Arts is a national network of performing arts classes for children, they were founded in 1988.
Their Macclesfield branch practices at Tytherington School on Manchester Road.
Head there for a taster of the joy of dance this Saturday.

Live Sport
Back in the late Victorian era football and rugby institutions started in Macclesfield at the same time, and they will both have home games kicking off at the same time on Saturday.
It is a local derby and top of the table clash for The Silkmen as they take on Leek Town at 3pm. Tickets here.
And with the oval-shaped ball, Macclesfield RUFC will take on Stockport at their Priory Lane Ground. Hot food will be served. Tickets here.

Dog Training
Got a furry friend over the festive period? Your Christmas canine can be trained if it is a puppy and can get to Bollington.
This Rainow Mill, Ingersley Vale event on Saturday is the commencing of a six-week introductory course to dog training for puppies aged 12wks to 6months.
Covering how to add a cue, body language of your puppies, bitting, play, husbandry, separation anxiety and having the right set up for success. Loose lead, recall and basic manners.
First session will be without our pups at the center to cover theory of socialisation, neutering and much more
If you are interested in training your pup using positive reinforcement in a fun friendly and professional environment then this is the class for you.
