It is easier than ever to get your COVID-19 vaccine in Macclesfield, and data shows we are fast-approaching most of our town being vaccinated.

This week, Public Health England have started doing an interactive vaccination map which tells you how many people have had their first and second doses across the country.

Macclesfield Nub News has compiled the figures, and broke down which Macclesfield areas have the most coronavirus vaccinations.

The data is sorted by the percentage of people in the population that have had their first vaccine, and had their second vaccine.

Up to and including June 30, the vaccination figures for Macclesfield adults are available.

Gawsworth & Macclesfield Forest have inoculated the most adults in our area.

A whopping 88.6% of adults have had their First Dose there.

A remarkable achievement when you take into account the size of the geographic area.

Gawsworth & Macclesfield Forest spans Kettleshulme, Bosley, Langley, Wincle, Allgreate, Oakgrove and Sutton amongst others.

Their second dose rates are also the highest, with 74.0%, almost three-quarters, already having their second jab there.

Interestingly, Gawsworth & Macclesfield Forest also has the most cases, with 23 active cases on the seven days to June 26.

Macclesfield Tytherington has the second highest current vaccination rates, with Macclesfield Upton Priory & Greenside a close third.

Macclesfield Central, where the town centre is located, has the worst vaccination rates for both first and second doses.
