It looks like a petrol station in Macclesfield will be on apps like Deliveroo.

This is according to a premises licence application regarding the Broken Cross Petrol Station.

The fuel station, which already sells alcohol, seeks to allow 'third party partners' to pick-up and deliver alcohol to customers.

While no platforms are specified in the application for a minor variation to the pre-existing premises licence at 147 Broken Cross, according to a Macclesfield Nub News search, the Shell at Broken Cross is currently not on Getir and Deliveroo. (So it could be for these apps.)

Given the site's proximity to the new Bellway housing estate, which lacks many shops nearby, it appears Shell has seen enough of a potential demand to apply for this slight change to their pre-existing licence to sell liquor.

You can read the application and find out how to respond to the requested changes HERE.

The licence will be approved or denied after October 27, when residents can no longer respond to the proposals.

Shell has been contacted for comment.
