Macclesfield have revised their FA Cup ticket sales process following the Crystal Palace fiasco.

The Silkmen have shared details of how fans can get their hands of tickets for the upcoming clash with Premier League outfit Brentford.

Links will be sent out to fans with a purchase history of six or more games from this season.

This will be a welcome change to many supporters, who were left disappointed by the ticket sales process for the Crystal Palace match.

On that occasion, the club opted for in-person sales, resulting in huge queues forming outside the Leasing.com Stadium and down London Road.

A statement released by the club on Monday, February 2, reads: "Having listened to supporter feedback following our Emirates FA Cup third round clash against Crystal Palace, Macclesfield FC are now in a position to provide a ticketing update ahead of our fourth round fixture against Brentford.

"Over the course of the last few weeks, we have worked tirelessly with TicketCo in order to make sure that ticket allocation is as fair as it can be based on the wealth of information we have been provided with.

"As a result, anyone with a purchase history of six games or more from this season will be given the opportunity to purchase either one or two tickets.

"Those who have a history of purchasing one ticket for six or more games will be allocated the exact same (I.E., one ticket), whilst those showing a history of more than one ticket purchased per game will be allocated an additional ticket (I.E., two tickets in total).

"Ticket links will be sent from ticketco via email at noon today, with supporters having 48 hours to redeem.

"Any unclaimed tickets will be made available to those with a purchase history of five games from this season in the same manner as documented above.

"As a result, no tickets will be going on general sale at this stage."
