A young racing driver from Macclesfield is celebrating a memorable year in motorsport.

Logan Jackson has set his sights set on an exciting new challenge in 2027 after finishing fourth in the super cadet class of this year's SuperOne Championship.

Having entered into the world of motorsport two years ago, 13-year-old Logan competes in electric karting, Logan races using the MightE Electric Powertrain.

Highlights from the 2026 season include two second place finishes at Clay Pigeon Raceway in June, followed by a third-place finish at Fulbeck in July.

However, the standout moment came at Shenington in August, where Logan claimed his first-ever SuperOne final win at the very circuit where his karting journey began.

The victory was a particularly special achievement for Logan, who started the final from third on the grid before delivering a determined drive to take the chequered flag.

Logan said: "Behind every result has been my family, my sponsors and everyone who follows, shares, likes and supports what we do.

"Being a privateer isn't always easy. Every race weekend takes a huge amount of work, preparation and commitment, but every time I pull my helmet on and roll onto the grid, it's worth it.

Now, Logan is preparing for another significant milestone as he steps up to the junior class for the 2027 season.

The move will bring new challenges, faster karts and an even more competitive racing environment, but Logan says he is looking forward to building on the experience and confidence gained this year.

He said: "A new class, new challenges, new competition, new goals and hopefully, a few more trophies!

"We're already working hard behind the scenes to see what we can make happen for 2027.

"I don't know exactly where this journey will take me yet but one thing I do know, I'm nowhere near finished!"
