A documentary following Macclesfield FC is returning.

The Silkmen have announced that filming has started on the second series of Robbie Savage: Making Macclesfield FC.

Created by the BBC, the upcoming series will focus on the climax of the current season, with Macclesfield looking almost certain to clinch the title.

A post on the club's social media read: "We are delighted to announce that filming has commenced ahead of the second series of Robbie Savage: Making Macclesfield FC.

"The award-winning first series, which debuted on the BBC back in 2021, proved to be a remarkable success and continues to attract phenomenal national exposure through iPlayer to this day.

"This second series will see an hour-long documentary broadcast on the BBC later this year and will feature the conclusion of the 2024/25 campaign.

"More details will be released in due course."
