The Savage Foundation announces new partnership in major boost to grassroots football in Macclesfield

Grassroots football has been given a major boost.
The Savage Foundation has announced a new partnership with the Macclesfield FC Community Sports Trust.
This collaboration will help Robbie Savage achieve his aim of providing free grassroots football and developing links into the Cheshire East football community.
He said: "Firstly, it is a great statement from our brilliant football club - we are aligned with the Community Sports Trust in our values and are aiming to continue and strengthen The Savage Foundation.
"Our focus, going forward, is to keep up the good work all the volunteers have already achieved and further support the local community of Macclesfield, in the best way possible.
"This partnership will create better opportunities, not only for our existing players and volunteers, but also the future of The Savage Foundation attendees, whilst promoting our values of 'Levelling the playing field' in grassroots football.
"I can't thank all the volunteers who have been involved enough, for all their brilliant work and I am looking forward to our partnership with the Community Sports Trust.
"Up the Silks."

The Savage Foundation was set up by the current Macclesfield FC manager in 2021.
A community interest company, it aims to help youngsters access free grassroots football, regardless of their background or ability.
Since it was launch, the foundation has provided free football for over 700 children, with 180 still attending sessions every Tuesday evening at the Leasing.com Stadium.
Under the new partnership, these sessions will continue.
However, there are 'big plans' to grow the foundation's operation in the future.
Lee Folkard, head of Macclesfield FC Community Sports Trust, said: "The Community Sports Trust, over the last four years, has created a feel good factor across Cheshire East with our various programs and with The Savage Foundation coming under the banner of the CST, we believe this collaboration will create even greater opportunities, not only for the players, but also for local volunteers to be involved, not just in football, but with our great football club."
