An 'absolutely outstanding' season has come to an end.

Bollington Town staff have been reflecting on an incredibly successful 2024/25 campaign.

The first team topped the Cheshire Football League 1 and picked up the Altrincham Senior Cup along the way.

Manager, Jeff Eastham, said: "The quality and belief in the group is on a different level.

"This season the group has been absolutely outstanding, finishing as Cheshire League 1 champions and Altrincham Senior Cup winners.

"We go again next season, already looking forward to competing in the Cheshire Premier League next season."

Bollington Town was formed by a group of friends in 2021 and has gone from strength to strength since.

The support of key sponsors (JTape, Anita Devenport Travel Counsellor, Infinity Shirts, ACS, Meel Group, Craft Construction, Dog and Partridge Pub and Bollington Festival) and the local community has helped the team to steadily grow.

There has also been success for the reserve team, who competed in the Crewe and District League in the inaugural season under the leadership of Jason Dunn.

Lots of new faces came together and competed very well, finishing mid table and having a good cup run.

Next season the reserves will aim to play in the Cheshire Reserve League.

This will allow for a set of young talented players the opportunity to test themselves further and push for places in the first team, in turn future proofing the club.

Off the field, in January Josh Brown decided to step down as chair of the club to focus on his career.

He has since been replaced by Richard Nelson, who previously spent nine years in charge of Macclesfield Junior FC.

Reflecting on his first few months at Bollington, he said: "As chairman of the club, I am amazingly proud of the achievements this year, both on and off the pitch, and look to continue the growth into next season and beyond.

"As we compete and grow I would encourage residents of Macclesfield and surrounding areas to come down and support the club.

"As we approach next season you can find us on social media, Bollington Town Football Club.

"All support is welcome, and we have a friendly environment for all family members."

Bollington Town are always on the lookout for new sponsors, players and volunteers.
