'The journey continues' - Robbie Savages agrees new two-year deal with Macclesfield FC

Robbie Savage is staying at Moss Rose.
The Macclesfield FC manager and director has agreed a two-year deal that will see him stay with the Silkmen until 2027.
Having achieved promotion in his first season in management, Savage had attracted a lot of interest from teams higher up the footballing pyramid.
Chairman of Macclesfield FC Robert Smethurst said: "Absolutely thrilled to be able to keep hold of Robbie despite offers from numerous clubs, the journey continues.
"Bring on the National League North!"

Savage's extension isn't the only news coming from the Leasing.com Stadium today (May 17).
Isaac Buckley-Ricketts has joined from Curzon Ashton for an undisclosed fee.
The 27-year-old winger scored 12 times for The Nash across all competitions last season.
A product of the Manchester City Academy, Buckley-Ricketts was also an England U18, U19 & U20 International upon leaving the Etihad.
He spent time on loan with FC Twente and Oxford United before securing a permanent move to Peterborough United in 2018.
In 2021 he signed for Southport, going on loan to Warrington Town, with whom he helped win the Northern Premier League play-offs.
He joined Warrington on a permanent basis and was named in the National League North team of the season in 2022/23.
After impressing at Cantilever Park, he joined on a permanent basis and was named in the National League North Team of the Season in 22/23 in his first full season in the division.
