Macclesfield will take on Manchester United this summer.

The Silkmen have confirmed their pre-season schedule, which includes a clash with a Red Devils XI on Thursday (July 17).

Unfortunately, the match will be played behind closed doors.

Never fear, however, as there are five fixtures at the Leasing.com Stadium to look forward to.

Pre-season gets underway on Saturday (July 12) with a home tie against an as yet unnamed opponent.

A few days later, on Tuesday (July 15), the Silkmen travel to the Lyme Valley Stadium to take on Newcastle Town.

This is followed by the Man United XI friendly behind closed doors.

Macclesfield return to Moss Rose on Saturday (July 19) to face Halifax Town, followed by a visit from Connah's Quay Nomads on Tuesday (July 22).

The penultimate pre-season test comes in the form of Cymru Premier champions, The New Saints, on Saturday (July 26).

Last but certainly not least, Macclesfield welcome a Derby County XI on Saturday (August 2).

Prices for the home pre-season fixtures are priced at £5 for adult season ticket holders and £8 for non season ticket holders, with discounts for concessions, students, teenagers and disabled supporters.

All matches will be pay on the gate.
