Macclesfield-born professional football coach Vicky Jepson has recently become the 17th female to pass UEFA's Pro Licence course.
The 37-year-old worked alongside former professional footballers such as Yaya Toure and Kieron Dyer as part of the qualification.
Vicky Jepson, in association with her current employer Tottenham Hotspur Women FC kindly spoke with Macclesfield Nub News about her achievement of this coaching qualification.
"Every single member of the cohort on the course was incredible," said Vicky.
"We all listened to each other and shared the best practices of session design, difficult conversation or handling the media.
"If I ever need to, I will pick up the phone to any of them and talk to them for advice, we will be friends for the rest of my footballing journey."
The Tottenham Hotspur Women senior assistant coach is always looking to better herself and progress forward, and she has praised her club's support for this.
"I hate standing still and hate not growing so if I am ever anywhere where I think I am not growing, I will leave.
"I wanted something to challenge me and I knew the Pro Licence would be that thing that would help push me.
"I have to thank the club for funding the course and allowing me the time away."
Starting her football journey at Bollington United FC, Jepson has gone on to coach some of the best English talents in world football such as England European Championship winners Lauren Hemp and Lauren James.
"I feel proud and privileged to be a very small part of their journeys," she said.
Aside from previously working with those two well-known Lionesses, Vicky has also had a spell as interim manager at Tottenham Hotspur Women, where she still works as Assistant Coach, coaching more illustrious players.
The Women's Super League (WSL) club squad currently contains captain Bethany England - also known for her heroics with the Lionesses - and forward Jessica Naz who made her England debut against the Republic of Ireland earlier this month.
However, it is not only the top of the game she has contributed to, after her spell at Macclesfield Town FC, developing the Centre of Excellence, and coaching over in the USA for two years.
She worked for The Silkmen from 2008-2012 as Female Football Development Officer, and also spent five years with the Cheshire FA.
The local coach believes her previous experiences in football has left her with a 'rhino skin' that helps her combat criticism and scrutiny in the game.
After spending over a decade with Liverpool FC coaching from the U11's to the women's first team, the 37-year-old admitted she suffered from criticism.
From 2018 to 2021, she managed Liverpool in both the WSL and Women's Championship.
In 2020, Jepson's side were relegated during the pandemic, in the same season the men's team lifted their first-ever Premier League title since 1990.
However, it must be noted that the Women's Super League was abandoned, and not 'restarted', in the same vein that the Premier League was that season.
"I'm in a fortunate position where I have dealt with many challenges in the game, which have given me rhino skin," Vicky revealed.
"The scrutiny I was under at Liverpool helped really develop that thick skin that you need in the game.
"I've dealt with media [and] fans' negativity, and I have dealt with bad results."
"Because I have worked in a result-driven industry, where there is a lot of scrutiny from social media it probably helped me find the Pro Licence journey comfortable."
The WSL coach says she wants to 'support' future female coaches and does so through 'The Powerhouse Project', which is designed to bridge the gap between the grassroots and elite game to 'encourage more women to work at the top level of football'.
The high-flying local is ready to kick-on into next season and says her aims with the club are to 'sustain success', and is working hard to achieve her dream of winning a trophy at Wembley Stadium.
