Cheshire East Council has paid tribute to students who will be receiving their A-level and GCSE results this week and next.

The council says they hope young people get the results they deserve and that they are able to progress with the next steps in their life journey.

East Cheshire NHS Trust has confirmed today that women will not be able to give birth at Macclesfield Hospital until the end of March next year.
