The average house price in Prestbury has passed the million pound milestone.

With city-commuters and rich people having always been fond of the Macclesfield village, the pandemic saw an influx of house sales, and thus the average sale price has elapsed one million pounds.

This is according to property sellers Rightmove, who have released the latest figures for the Macclesfield parish.

The average house price in Prestbury is £1,040,231, passing the million pound milestone from sales in recent months.

It has also passed the £900,000 threshold since 2019's figures of a £863,391.73 average house price.

This is a rise of £176,839.27 to today's figure.

This means there has been a seventeen percent rise in Prestbury's average house price since 2019, significantly more than the six percent rise in Bollington.

Macclesfield - like Bollington - has cheaper house prices, but saw a higher percentage rise in their increase than Prestbury.

It may be bad news for those on or around the average salary in the UK, who want to live in Prestbury.

However, it us worth mentioning it may be deceptive to those hoping to get on the property ladder in Prestbury, as this figure combines all types of properties, from flat sales to even footballer's mansions.

Interestingly, April 2021 figures from a Macclesfield Nub News Freedom of Information request suggest there are 45 empty properties inside the boundaries of Prestbury Parish Council.
