Come along and join me at the Periwinkle & Clay Creative Studio to build & decorate your very own Ceramic Bollington Bear. With my assistance, you'll be provided with some white earthenware clay, tools and inspiration to create your very own bear.

During our time together, you'll learn how to:

• Build a form using a pinch pot and add a slab-built base & features
• Fettling and cleaning up your work
• Using decoration techniques such as using slips and underglaze
• Decoration techniques such as stencilling, painting and scraffito

The course is split over two Sundays. The first session will be building the form and adding features and decoration. In the second session, you'll come back to fettle and clean up your bears and decorate.

Once complete, they will be bisque-fired and dipped in a clear glaze. They'll be fired a second time and then ready to collect.

No experience in ceramics or working with clay is needed. Children from 8 upwards are welcome but an adult will also have to take part, so it would be two tickets/ two seats.

First Session: Sunday 5th May

Second Session: Sunday 12th May

Timing: 10.30-1 pm. Each session is 2 1/2 hours long, so 5 hours in total.

The workshop is held at the Periwinkle & Clay Creative Studio - it's a bright, friendly and welcoming space. A refreshments menu is available for drinks and cake.
