We are delighted to announce that we have secured the support of local business to complete the prize list for our charity raffle in March. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this! They are a national charity in the UK focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours through campaigning to increase the national investment in brain tumour research to £35 million per year, while fundraising to create a network of seven sustainable Brain Tumour Research Centres of Excellence across the UK.

Macclesfield and District Lions are aiming to raise a minimum of £2000 to help Brain Tumour research. We will be running a daily raffle throughout March which is Brain Tumour Awareness Month. We hope to sell at least 400 draw cards for a minimum donation of £5. Each card will be entered into the daily draw, (a card can only be drawn once). We will be selling cards locally, but please contact us if you want more details.
